Photographe Brest et Quimper - Louise Garin

I am a family photographer based in Brest and Quimper, placing documentary-style storytelling at the heart of my work. My approach is simple: to tell your story with care, without forced poses, favouring natural light and genuine moments of connection. Whether it’s a session at home, a walk along the coast or an afternoon in the woods, I love capturing gestures, glances and the small daily rituals that make up your family life. My practice is founded on listening and getting to know you. Before each session we talk to understand what matters most — a particular moment to freeze in time, a meaningful location, or the arrival of a newborn. On location I remain discreet and gentle: I invite and guide with small playful suggestions and also leave room for spontaneity, so the images feel sincere and natural. My photography aims to be soft, authentic and luminous, faithful to who you are. I photograph newborns, babies, children, family portraits, and important religious or festive moments such as baptisms, communions and birthdays. For at-home sessions I document everyday life — snack preparation, playtime in the living room, evening cuddles — so you can preserve these intimate memories. Outdoors I like to take advantage of late-afternoon light or the golden hour to create poetic, lively images. From a technical perspective, I shoot with a Sony camera and reportage-friendly focal lengths, then edit images in Adobe Lightroom to preserve the light palette and authenticity of colours. Delivery is via a password-protected private online gallery, from which you can download high-definition images and order prints or a photo album. I also support families who would like a filmed version of their day to extend the memory. Based in Finistère, I travel to Brest, Quimper and the surrounding areas.
